Stefania Onesti


Stefania Onesti - Teaching Director, Classical Dance, Propedeutics, floor bar and History of dance.

Teacher graduated in the Cecchetti method (DDI - ISTD Cecchetti Faculty). She began studying dance in Palermo with Angela Abbigliati, Stefan Banica and Jacques Beltrame, mainly training in the Vaganova method. From 2000 to 2002, she studied at the School of Ballet in Tuscany under the direction of Cristina Bozzolini. In 2002 she won a scholarship for the Course of Advanced Training for Dancers and Dancers (900 hours) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Theater under the direction of Elisabetta Terabust. She has performed on numerous event, dancing both classical repertoire and contemporary creations. She began teaching in 2005 between Bologna, Imola and Prato, while from 2013 she worked permanently with Pier Paolo Gobbo.

She is currently continuing his training in the Cecchetti method between Florence, where he studies for the Diploma in Dance Education with Alessandra Alberti and Elisa Corsini, and London where she improve herself with Julie Cronshaw.

She is also a professor at the University of Padua where she teaches History of dance within the course of Methodology of theater and entertainment. She recently published a monograph on dance in Italy in the second half of the eighteenth century, a field of research in which she specialized during the Doctorate at the University of Padua from 2011 to 2013.
