Laura Montanari - Classical dance

At the age of 13, she received a scholarship from the prestigious Hamlyn School of Dance in Florence, conducted by Nicoletta Santoro and Alessandra Alberti, where she attended the pre-professional course, becoming the disciplines of Classical Ballet, Repertoire, Pas de Deux and Contemporary Dance. Dances in numerous classical and modern dance shows in Florence on choreography by Itzik Galili, Michel Fokine, Robert North, John Neumeier, Bruce Michelson, Olivier Chanut and Michele Simonetti. In 2009 she graduated with the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Advanced 2 (Majors) at the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in London (ISTD) and in the same year she went on to specialize in Holland at the Maximun Dance Course '09, at the Nederlands Dans Theater along with the most important northern European choreographers.

In 2010 she participates as a professional dancer in various shows and educational projects in Florence directed by Gabriel Zoccola and Pierluigi Grison, where she also collaborates in the realization of choreographic-body laboratories with children, teens, adults, and disabled people, gaining significant experience in the field of education. In 2011 she attended the training course for for teachers of classical dance, obtaining the DDE "Diploma for Dance Education of the ISTD" and began teaching classical dance at the "Hamlyn" schools in Florence and "Danzainsieme" in Crevalcore. She performs several choreographic workshops and intensive seminars whit choreographers such as Virgilio Sieni, Romeo Castellucci and dance companies such as Dewey Dell. In 2013 she is selected and participates in the intensive course of five months in Israel, at the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company directed by Rami Be'er.
To return to Italy she took part in the Florence Dance Festival dancing a choreographic "Tug of War" at the Bargello National Museum and collaborates with the artistic association Socialisarte, with which she performs and realizes numerous shows in Florence and Tuscany. In June she was selected by the Biennale Danza di Venezia, and dances at the Corderie dell'Arsenale in the production "Dance Grammar" by choreographer Roy Assaf.
 
From September 2013 she regularly teaches at the school Studio of the Movement of Budrio (BO). From February 2016, she attended the three-year training program in Dance Movement Therapy for the achievement of the Dance Therapy Movement Diploma at APIArT, the Italian Professional Therapists Association and APID, at the Bologna Art Therapy.
